Brief Description: College of the Atlantic (COA) is seeking a full-time faculty member in chemistry (open rank) to teach a wide range of classes to students of Human Ecology. The new faculty member will have curricular and creative control over the design of introductory through advanced courses. Beginning in Fall 2018, the successful candidate will teach two-term sequences in general chemistry, offered every year, and organic chemistry, offered alternate years. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to develop one or more courses in environmental chemistry, preferably with a strong lab component.
